Mass of Thanksgiving for Venerable Fulton Sheen

This morning the Diocese of Peoria celebrated Venerable Fulton Sheen with a Mass of Thanksgiving at the Cathedral. Some of these photos are not very good, but I think they still capture some of the beauty of the day.

It was a beautiful celebration of a life rich with holiness and zeal. We were so happy to be back in our old Church to celebrate this occasion. Msgr. Deptula is a very good friend of ours and a great homilist as evidenced by today. Hope your family had a great time. (I'm Britta Kreps...glad to meet you.)

Marie, Thank you for putting up these great photos! I have so many between Joseph's camera and my phone and I'm having some trouble paring it all down for several posts. Wonderful post of a great Mass and a great morning.
